The VERUS ENGINEERING A0733A V1X Swan Neck Rear Wing Kit is developed for the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C8) to significantly increase rear downforce while maintaining aerodynamic efficiency. Designed to mount directly to the factory engine cover, the system provides a bolt-on solution for drivers seeking improved stability, balance, and confidence during track use.
The V1X wing utilizes a swan neck mounting configuration to exploit the low-pressure zone beneath the wing element, maximizing usable downforce with minimal drag penalty. Compared to the UCW Swan Neck Wing, the V1X features a longer chord and wider profile, allowing it to generate higher levels of downforce at substantially lower angles of attack. The airfoil profile was optimized using CFD analysis and refined through wind tunnel testing to ensure consistent performance when installed on the vehicle.
In-house 3D scan data was used throughout the design process to achieve near-OEM fit and finish. The uprights are positioned in airflow regions already disturbed, reducing aerodynamic losses, while the mounting system securely sandwiches the engine cover to provide strength and stability. The result is a rear wing capable of effectively balancing aggressive front aerodynamic systems, including the Verus Engineering Front Splitter Kit.
