The VERUS ENGINEERING A0666A UCW Swan Neck Rear Wing Kit is developed to significantly increase rear downforce on the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C8), improving stability, driver confidence, and lap time consistency during track use. While the C8 Corvette delivers strong factory performance, this rear wing addresses aerodynamic limitations by providing a substantial increase in rear grip to better balance aggressive driving conditions.

Unlike traditional bottom-mount designs, the UCW swan neck configuration utilizes top-mounted uprights to fully exploit the low-pressure zone beneath the wing element. This design increases aerodynamic efficiency by allowing more effective use of the wing’s lower surface, generating higher downforce with a reduced drag penalty. The airfoil profile is derived from the V1X and refined using CFD analysis, ANSYS adjoint optimization, and wind tunnel testing to ensure consistent performance when installed on the vehicle.

In-house 3D scan data was used throughout development to achieve near-OEM fit and finish. The uprights are positioned in airflow-disturbed regions to minimize drag, while the mounting system sandwiches the engine cover for strength and stability. The wing is designed to integrate seamlessly with the vehicle’s profile and effectively balance large front aerodynamic systems, such as the VERUS ENGINEERING Front Splitter Kit.
