The VERUS ENGINEERING A0053A-BARE-CK5 Aluminum Hood Louver Kit CK5 is designed to reduce engine bay heat and pressure on the Subaru WRX / STI (VA) while retaining the structural integrity of the OEM hood. By improving airflow evacuation from the engine bay, the louvers enhance airflow through the radiator and supporting cooling components, resulting in improved cooling stack efficiency.

Through CFD-optimized placement, the louvers are positioned in low-pressure zones to maximize hot air extraction and reduce pressure buildup, commonly referred to as hood flutter. This reduction in pressure can also contribute to a slight increase in front-end downforce. The Kit includes optional wickers, which significantly increase evacuation efficiency when installed, providing additional functional benefit alongside a purposeful visual upgrade.
