The VERUS ENGINEERING A0677A-BLK Air Oil Separator Kit is engineered to protect the intake system of the Honda Civic Type R (FL5) by effectively separating oil vapors from crankcase gases. Under high-performance driving conditions, the factory PCV and CCV systems can become overwhelmed, allowing oil vapors to enter the intake tract. This can reduce effective octane, increase the risk of detonation, promote carbon buildup, and negatively impact engine performance and longevity.

This Air Oil Separator is designed to keep the intake system oil-free by capturing oil before it becomes a problem. The system utilizes four 5-micron coalescent filters—one at each inlet and outlet—combined with internal baffling and stainless steel mesh to deliver highly efficient oil separation. This advanced filtration setup allows consistent performance during sustained high-load operation, such as track driving.

Unlike traditional catch cans, the VERUS ENGINEERING AOS is designed for ease of maintenance. An integrated drain valve allows quick and clean servicing, making it suitable for frequently driven vehicles. The system is manufactured in-house in Indianapolis, Indiana, from CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a black anodized coating. As with all anodized components, prolonged exposure to engine bay heat may result in gradual color fading.
