The VERUS ENGINEERING A0558A-RED Air Oil Separator Kit is engineered to prevent oil vapors from entering the intake system of the Honda Civic Type R (FK8) during aggressive street and track driving. As engine performance increases, the factory PCV and CCV systems can become overwhelmed, allowing oil vapor to contaminate the intake tract and negatively impact performance and engine longevity.

This air oil separator separates oil from crankcase gases before they are recirculated into the intake system. Keeping oil out of the intake helps maintain effective octane levels, reduce the risk of detonation, and limit carbon buildup. The system utilizes four 5-micron coalescent filters, internal baffling, and stainless steel mesh to deliver high-efficiency oil separation while preserving proper crankcase ventilation. An integrated drain plug simplifies maintenance, making the system suitable for frequently driven vehicles. Optional coolant add-on components are available to further tailor the system to specific operating conditions.
