Each rotor features a lightweight central hat machined from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aluminum alloy to aircraft-grade specifications. The disc ring is cast from GiroDisc’s proprietary iron formula, manufactured and machined entirely in-house in the USA. A curved internal vane design, derived from motorsport applications, maximizes cooling efficiency by acting as a centrifugal air pump.
The floating assembly is engineered with ten precision drive pins, made from high-strength alloy steel and treated with cadmium plating for corrosion resistance. These pins allow axial and radial float to accommodate thermal expansion, while anti-noise spring washers minimize rattle and vibration during cold operation.
