The BBS RT88 wheel represents a perfect blend of motorsport engineering and everyday usability. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the USA, the RT88 brings the legendary racing DNA of the iconic BBS E88 wheel into a road-ready, high-performance design suitable for demanding street and track use.
The wheel features a forged motorsport-style mesh center inspired by the E88 race wheel combined with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the renowned BBS LM program developed in Japan. This advanced two-piece forged aluminum construction significantly improves rigidity while reducing unsprung weight, contributing to sharper steering response, improved braking performance, and enhanced vehicle dynamics.
Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable street-ready finishes and improved sealing designed to withstand real-world conditions including temperature changes, daily driving, and track-day use. The structure is optimized using FEM analysis to achieve the ideal balance between weight, strength, and durability.
This version is finished in the premium Black Bright Diamond Cut and is specifically designed for the Nissan GT-R R35 platform. The design also provides excellent brake clearance, including compatibility with large high-performance braking systems such as carbon ceramic brakes.
