The BBS RT88 wheel delivers authentic motorsport engineering combined with the durability required for high-performance road cars. Developed through close collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 transforms the legendary design philosophy of the BBS E88 racing wheel into a road-ready configuration suitable for both everyday driving and track-day performance.
The wheel features a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the iconic E88 race wheel paired with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM program developed in Japan. This advanced two-piece forged aluminum construction improves structural rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, enhancing steering response, braking stability, and overall vehicle dynamics.
Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable road-ready finishes and improved sealing technology designed to withstand real-world driving conditions including temperature fluctuations, road impacts, and extended mileage. The structure is optimized using FEM analysis to achieve an ideal balance between strength, weight reduction, and rigidity.
