The BBS RT88 wheel brings authentic motorsport engineering to high-performance road vehicles. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 transforms the design philosophy of the legendary BBS E88 racing wheel into a durable, road-ready configuration suitable for spirited driving and track-day use.
The wheel features a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the iconic E88 race wheel paired with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM program developed in Japan. This advanced two-piece forged aluminum construction enhances rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, improving steering response, braking stability, and overall vehicle dynamics.
Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable road-ready finishes and improved sealing technology to withstand real-world driving conditions including heat cycles, road impacts, and everyday mileage. The structure is optimized using FEM analysis to achieve an ideal balance between strength, stiffness, and weight reduction.
This version is engineered specifically for Porsche 992 Carrera models and provides the brake clearance required for high-performance braking systems, including carbon ceramic brakes.
