The BBS RT88 is a motorsport-derived wheel engineered to deliver race-inspired design with the durability required for modern high-performance road vehicles. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 translates the legendary engineering of the BBS E88 racing wheel into a road-ready configuration designed for track-day enthusiasts and performance drivers.
The wheel features a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the iconic E88 race wheel combined with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM program developed in Japan. This advanced two-piece forged aluminum construction improves rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, enhancing steering precision, braking stability, and overall vehicle dynamics.
Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable road-grade finishes and improved sealing technology to withstand real-world driving conditions including temperature fluctuations, road impacts, and long-term use. The structure is optimized using FEM analysis to provide the ideal balance between strength, weight reduction, and structural stiffness.
This version is finished in Black Bright Diamond Cut and is specifically engineered for BMW performance models including the BMW M2 (G87), BMW M3 (G80), and BMW M4 (G82). The design also provides excellent brake clearance for large performance braking systems including carbon ceramic brakes.
