The BBS RT88 wheel delivers authentic motorsport engineering combined with the durability required for high-performance road vehicles. Developed through close collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 translates the iconic design philosophy of the legendary BBS E88 racing wheel into a configuration suitable for both road use and demanding track-day performance.
The wheel features a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the classic E88 race wheel paired with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM program developed in Japan. This advanced two-piece forged aluminum construction enhances structural rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, improving steering precision, suspension response, and overall vehicle performance.
Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable road-ready finishes and improved sealing technology to ensure long-term reliability under real-world conditions including temperature changes, road impacts, and daily driving. The wheel structure is optimized using FEM analysis to achieve an ideal balance of strength, rigidity, and lightweight performance.
