The BBS RT88 wheel blends authentic motorsport heritage with the durability required for high-performance road vehicles. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 translates the iconic design and engineering philosophy of the legendary BBS E88 race wheel into a configuration suitable for both everyday driving and demanding track-day performance.
The wheel features a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the E88 combined with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the renowned BBS LM wheel program developed in Japan. This advanced two-piece forged aluminum construction enhances rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, improving steering precision, suspension response, and overall vehicle dynamics.
Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable road-ready finishes and improved sealing technology to ensure reliable long-term performance under real-world conditions. The wheel structure is optimized using FEM analysis to achieve an excellent strength-to-weight ratio while maintaining the durability required for spirited driving.
The RT88 is designed to accommodate modern high-performance braking systems and provides generous clearance for large brake packages, including carbon ceramic brakes commonly installed on performance vehicles.
