The BBS RT88 wheel combines authentic motorsport engineering with durability suitable for high-performance road vehicles. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 translates the iconic design and engineering philosophy of the legendary BBS E88 race wheel into a configuration suitable for everyday driving and demanding track-day performance.
The RT88 features a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the E88 paired with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the renowned BBS LM wheel program in Japan. This advanced two-piece forged aluminum construction increases structural rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, improving steering precision, suspension response, and overall driving dynamics.
Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable road-ready finishes and enhanced sealing technology for reliable long-term use under real-world conditions. The wheel structure is optimized using FEM analysis to deliver an excellent strength-to-weight ratio while maintaining the strength required for aggressive driving.
The RT88 is engineered to accommodate modern high-performance braking systems and offers generous clearance for large brake setups, including carbon ceramic brakes commonly found on performance vehicles.
