The BBS RT88 wheel is a motorsport-derived design engineered to deliver authentic racing aesthetics together with the durability required for high-performance road vehicles. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 translates the engineering philosophy of the legendary BBS E88 race wheel into a configuration suitable for both everyday driving and demanding track use.
The wheel features a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the iconic E88 combined with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM wheel program developed in Japan. This advanced two-piece forged construction improves structural rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, enhancing steering precision, suspension response, and overall vehicle dynamics.
Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable road-ready finishes and improved sealing technology to ensure reliable long-term operation in real-world driving environments. The structure is optimized using FEM analysis to achieve an excellent strength-to-weight ratio while maintaining the durability expected from BBS motorsport engineering.
