The BBS RT88 wheel represents a fusion of authentic motorsport engineering and refined street usability. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 brings the design DNA of the legendary BBS E88 race wheel into a configuration engineered for high-performance road cars and track-day enthusiasts.
The RT88 features a forged multi-spoke center inspired directly by the E88 combined with a highly durable forged barrel derived from the renowned BBS LM wheel program in Japan. This two-piece forged construction significantly improves rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, which contributes to sharper steering response, improved suspension performance, and enhanced driving dynamics.
Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates road-ready finishes and enhanced sealing technology to ensure long-term reliability under real-world conditions. The wheel structure is optimized using FEM analysis to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio while maintaining the durability required for both spirited road driving and track use.
Designed with modern performance vehicles in mind, the RT88 also provides excellent clearance for large brake systems, including carbon ceramic brake packages commonly found on high-performance models.
