The BBS RT88 wheel is a motorsport-inspired design engineered to combine authentic racing heritage with the durability required for modern high-performance road vehicles. Developed through close collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 adapts the engineering philosophy and iconic design of the legendary BBS E88 race wheel into a configuration suitable for both street use and demanding track-day conditions.
The wheel features a forged multi-spoke center derived from the E88 combined with a high-strength forged barrel based on the BBS LM wheel program developed in Japan. This advanced construction significantly increases structural rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, improving steering precision, suspension response, and overall vehicle dynamics. Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable finishes and improved sealing to ensure reliable long-term operation in real-world driving environments.
