The BBS RT88 wheel is a motorsport-derived design developed to combine racing heritage with durability suitable for high-performance road vehicles. Created through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 adapts the engineering philosophy and visual identity of the legendary BBS E88 racing wheel for road and track-day applications.
The wheel features a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the E88 combined with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM program developed in Japan. This construction enhances rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, improving steering precision, suspension responsiveness, and overall driving dynamics. Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable protective finishes and improved air retention to ensure reliable operation in everyday driving conditions.
Manufactured using advanced forging technology and optimized through FEM structural analysis, the RT88 offers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.
