The BBS RT88 wheel is a motorsport-derived component designed for high-performance road vehicles and track-oriented driving. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 translates the engineering philosophy and distinctive appearance of the legendary BBS E88 racing wheel into a configuration suitable for both road and track-day applications.
The wheel integrates a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the iconic E88 design with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM wheel program in Japan. This construction enhances structural rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, contributing to improved steering accuracy, suspension responsiveness, and overall vehicle dynamics. Unlike pure racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable surface finishes and enhanced air retention to support long-term road use without intensive maintenance.
Manufactured using advanced forging technology and optimized through FEM structural analysis, the RT88 provides excellent strength-to-weight characteristics.
