Developed through close collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 translates the engineering philosophy and iconic appearance of the legendary BBS E88 racing wheel into a configuration suitable for road use and track-day performance.
The wheel combines a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the E88 with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM wheel program in Japan. This architecture enhances structural rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, improving steering precision, suspension response, and overall vehicle dynamics. Unlike dedicated racing wheels, the RT88 features durable surface finishes and enhanced air retention, eliminating the maintenance requirements typically associated with competition-only wheel assemblies.
