The BBS RT88 wheel is a motorsport-derived component engineered for high-performance road vehicles and demanding track environments. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport divisions in Germany and the United States, the RT88 brings the iconic engineering and design philosophy of the legendary BBS E88 racing wheel into a configuration suitable for long-term road use.
The wheel integrates a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the E88 with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM wheel program in Japan. This combination enhances structural rigidity while minimizing unsprung mass, contributing to improved steering response, chassis feedback, and overall driving dynamics. Unlike pure racing wheels, the RT88 incorporates durable surface finishes and improved air retention, eliminating the maintenance requirements typically associated with competition-only wheels.
