The BBS RT88 wheel is a motorsport-derived solution engineered for high-performance road vehicles and track-oriented driving. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 translates the iconic engineering philosophy of the legendary BBS E88 racing wheel into a configuration optimized for real-world road use.
The design combines a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the E88 with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM wheel program in Japan. This architecture enhances structural rigidity while reducing unsprung mass, contributing to improved steering precision, vehicle stability, and overall handling performance. Unlike pure racing wheels, the RT88 features street-ready coatings and improved air retention, allowing reliable long-term use without the maintenance requirements typical of competition-only components.
Manufactured using advanced forging processes and weight optimization through FEM analysis, the RT88 provides exceptional strength and durability.
