The BBS RT88 wheel is a motorsport-derived solution engineered for high-performance road vehicles and track-focused applications. Developed through collaboration between BBS Motorsport teams in Germany and the United States, the RT88 translates the engineering philosophy and iconic design of the legendary BBS E88 race wheel into a configuration suitable for real-world road use.
The wheel integrates a forged multi-spoke center inspired by the E88 with a high-strength forged barrel derived from the BBS LM wheel program in Japan. This architecture enhances rigidity while maintaining reduced unsprung mass, improving steering response, vehicle stability, and overall driving dynamics. Unlike pure racing wheels, the RT88 features durable finishes and enhanced air retention, allowing reliable long-term street use without the maintenance demands associated with motorsport-only components.
